Where I work we use Samsung SSD’s and never had a problem, but you’re free to use any 2.5 inch SATA SSD of your choice. The 2012 Macbook Pro uses a standard 2.5 inch SATA hard drive, which is what most laptop computers are using. Can I put an SSD in my mid 2012 MacBook Pro?
